Our main club full season runs in two halves on most Monday evenings in the cooler months, matching the dates of school terms 2 and 3 - i.e. mid-April to mid-September, with a break for for the winter school holidays in June/July. "Green" season & league runs during Term 2. "Gold" season & league runs during Term 3.
We have 3 ways that you can get involved:
- Public drop-in "Come & Try Sessions", 7pm to 8pm:
- Quick introduction to Curling and have a go - aka. "Barefoot Curling" (but not literally)!
- Tickets are required for each session and must be bought on this site via the link, either in advance or even on the night (* subject to availability)
- 4 week structured "Learn to Curl" Programs: 7pm to 8pm:
- Learn the nuances of sliding, throwing, sweeping & "Skipping" (calling the shots, tactics & rules)
- Our instructors will take you through step-by-step, in small groups, at your own pace. Each session builds on what you've already learned
- Each week will start with demos & drills, followed by a bit of gameplay to put your new skills into practice
- VCA membership is included for all our "Learn to Curlers", so you might even be able to play in our league, if any of our teams need a substitute on the night!
- Advance booking essential
- League Curling: 7:00pm to 8:30pm & 8:30pm to 10:00pm
- Registration is open to all our members
- Our not-so-serious social league caters for all abilities, and all experience levels from beginners to Olympians!
- Play for the whole season in a team (we can help find you one) or just week-by-week as a substitute (subject to availability)
